A Passion for Champagne

During the early stages of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, champagne blogger, Gina Lyons wanted to find a way to continue to enjoy champagne and culinary experiences with wine lovers from around the world from the comfort and safety of home. In March 2020, she decided to begin hosting weekly virtual wine tastings collaborating with Michelin suppliers such as Champagne Louis Roederer,  Champagne Billecart-Salmon, Champagne Frerejean Frères, and later with Alex Ojeda, incorporated food and wine pairings with Sabatino Truffles and Paramount Caviar, among others.  After great success, "A Vine Affair" was born to continue curating bespoke champagne and food experiences for enthusiasts at every level.

Gina Lyons

Gina's experience living abroad in both Asia and Europe for over a decade, has developed her appreciation for great food and a special interest in wine. Working as the head of Customer Experience for Europe at a major luxury fashion brand, Gina is able to apply her knowledge of hosting, clientelling, and luxury experiences to A Vine Affair.  Featured in the Huff Post, ABC7 Suncoast View, Booze Press, and The Champagne Club, Gina Lyons has quickly made a mark in the world of wine as a champagne specialist and wine educator.

Alex Ojeda

A licensed attorney, Alex discovered her passion for wine and food through her travels. After years in the public affairs field, in 2019 she began formal wine training through WSET.  Alex's expertise areas include: Spanish wines and food, wine & food pairings, and event planning. Originally from Puerto Rico, Alex currently lives in Tampa, FL with her husband James.

Bliss Mercuri

Bliss loves creating memorable and welcoming experiences for guests and loves to travel and experience new places. 


Combining her passions, she graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Event Management, and interned at the infamous, New York City Wine and Food Festival shortly after.

Bliss is looking forward to creating unique and wonderful tastings for our future clients that go beyond their expectations.
